Global Mobile

Sure, Americans are yakking away on every mobile device known. But if you look overseas, our habits are tame compared to our friends across the pond.

In the Big 5 in Europe—the UK, Spain, Germany, Italy and France—94% of physicians own mobile phones. 36% of all physicians own a PDA or smartphone.

The way healthcare is managed in European countries, you can’t pimp your brand to consumers, only doctors. Hmm… so what they’re saying is mobile is the most direct way to get your brand information in a physician’s hands.

So, why are pharma companies in the U.S. so far behind? Like our friends in Europe, mobile is no longer a luxury but a necessity that’s become part of our lexicon. What we’re saying is that docs are hooked to these devices, expecting to extend their communication bubble with them. All a brand need do is reach out through this device. What are you waiting for?
